Friends , I happened to visit Fortis hospital, Mohali today as I was called upon to visit a patient. . Because I cudnt have made to visit home for lunch in the afternoon before my evening opd in clinic , I decided to have some snacks in canteen there itself. And observed a lady doctor , seemingly a resident medical officer there , having her tiffin being warmed in Oven there (consisting of some hurriedly packed parathas and a pickle ) and discussing about the patient she recieved in morning in an emergency and telling her colleague that she couldn't even pack vegetable in her tiffin and this was her breakfast . Even while she was telling this to her with a mood to relax herself for sometym , she got a call on her phone for another emergency and without even finishing her meal , she had to leave again. Felt bad for her . Even me sometimes have to leave in hurry from home if there's some urgent patient in clinic and ask my wife to pack it . Friends , in which profession do

I have been advising my friends and patients since last 15 years that never use RO water purification system It's only for those areas where tds of water is more than 500. Ur company and their representatives advise u RO only because they get more percentage of money when they sell RO. Even Aquaguard website recommends it only if tds is more than 500. So get it checked first and grt ur water tank clean and if still its more than 500. Only then go for it. In punjab,only regions near bathinda needs RO. I myself have normal water purification system at home. Because RO kills necessary minerals of water needed for our body and thereafter the water we are drinking is just a plain fluid, not the water which Mother Nature has given us as a natural drink and it in turn is responsible for many types of weaknesses in body. #punitsthots #punitsviews

This is in reference to my fb post dated 17.8.17 @DrRajas Deshpande in which it was mentioned that patient is not a customer or a consumer and rightly so. But it's important to mention here that patient , too , should not consider themselves the same. Sometimes blaming doctors for negligence and carelessness and putting them under the scanner puts undue pressure on the doctors and instead of getting better results from them , doctors come on the back foot , become defensive and as a result may refuse treatment even for the cases which they can cure . 1. Sometimes your plumber , electrician , driver or even your maid doesn't pick your calls and later bluntly telling you that it was sunday or they were busy , Your Doctor never does so. He picks your calls even at odd hours just to answer your simple and sometimes stupid questions like 'Hello Doctor , I m at a party , can I have ice cream ' or another questions like that which are sometimes avoidable. 2. It feels really shameful that in the hour of crisis when India needs us most , we all are divided on the basis of religions and political parties. Why don't we all stand and become united and be just INDIAN. Baaki rahi baat religion ki to GURU NANAK , SRI RAM , SRI KRISHNA ,MAHATMA BUDDHA or JESUS CHRIST , all were messengers of God . Alas, we made them Hindu,Sikh,Christian etc. All used to spread love but we all are spreading hatred and hating each other on this basis . My Article on DEPRESSION and SMARTPHONES being one of the cause of DEPRESSION in modern day-to-day life. DEPRESSION At any given day or time, we all feel low, become hopeless and mind becomes full of despair. We just feel like living in a black hole. Mind, body and soul seems lifeless and when this feeling becomes too grave , that is what we call depression. We feel the condition is never going to change but we should remember that this feeling of helplessness and hopelessness is just a temporary feeling and like a famous saying goes....we must remember that “THIS TOO SHALL PASSE“. Inducing the sense of positivity into yourself is the only cure, no matter how much psychic counselling, medical help or therapy you may get, you and only you are going to cure it with your positive attitude. Start doing things to feel good and you are half cured. Depression varies from person to person, gender to gender and age to age. The common symptoms being loss of interest in daily activities ,ap
